Production of Mazda 6 sedans has started at Mazda Sollers joint venture in Vladivostok. This is the second model of this car brand that is now produced in Russia; late in 2012 the assembly line of the above-named factory welcomed Mazda CX-5 crossovers. At the moment the new Mazda cars are SKD assembled, but the car plant is planning to launch the complete production cycle by 2015.
Currently Russian customers are offered only those Mazda 6 cars powered by 2 Li 150 hp engines for at least 925.000 rubles or ~$30.000. The first Mazda 6 vehicle assembled in Vladivostok was a white sedan fitted by 2.5-liter 192 hp engine. However, the price for the newcomer is still unknown.
