Chinese Company Copied Lada XRAY Design

Chinese mass media published some pictures of a new compact crossover of the Landwind brand. Its design looks much like the Lada XRAY.

The model with the internal code Landwind E36 looks like a typical up-to-date SUV, but the design of the front part of the car almost completely repeats the design of the Lada Vesta and the Lada XRAY. Headlights, decoration of the radiator grill and the bumper – everything styled after the latest Tolyatti models created by Steve Mattin, chef designer of AvtoVAZ.

According to the preliminary information, the new Landwind crossover will make its official debut this year. It is intended that the car will be equipped with a 1.6-liter atmospheric engine or a 1.6-liter turbo engine. There is no other information about specification of the vehicle yet.

Like many other Chinese brands, at the local market, the Landwind sells cars the design of which has been completely or partially copied from the vehicles of foreign producers. For example, the Landwind X7 crossover replicating in appearance the Range Rover Evoque model came into market in 2015.
