Sollers & Mazda joint venture made a public announcement that the first batch of Mazda CX-5 crossovers has rolled off the production line at Mazda Motor Manufacturing ltd car factory based in Vladivostok.
The car plant located in Vladivostok, which has been opened on September 6, will receive as much as $350 mln in investments only during the first stage of its operation. Currently the plant is only engaged in production of CX-5 model, but beginning next year the factory will take in the new generation of Mazda 6 sedan cars. At first the total output will amount to 50.000 cars yearly and afterwards this figure may be raised up to 100.000 units a year.
